My Art Portfilo

This year I have been doing a homeschooling art day once a month.  Check out the Artsorted Worx blog theartsortedworx.  This place is amazing and full of fun.  You will see from the photos that the art work is cool.  Here is my art work from 2010, It took a bit of time compiling it, but now it is finished.  The text written on the page has been copied below the picture.  Please remember that the text was written for certain parts of the page.

Dark Starry Night : This is my copy of the famous painting by Vincent van Gogh.  This is only an imitation of Gogh’s work. 
 

Mango : This mango is a still life drawing.  A slight 3D tone was added to the drawing.  This still life was done using watercolour pencils.

Minty : The design of this minty has been copied and painted on a square of calico, then stuffed and tied.  The original minty wrapper is below. 

Colour

Colour is what makes or breaks a picture.  This picture is an example of how colour shows the expressions and feelings of a person.  Although the colours are different to the colours in the real picture, this painting shows that the person is happy with the use of bright happy colours.

Mrs Okey

This is a gourd with paper-mache/plaster on parts of the head to form the features- eyes, etc.  Stockings have been used for the legs with individual decorations. 

I put this photo on for India Heaven in my Heart-Gourd Love Because I love gourds too. BEx

Star

Here are the instructions for the star. 

1. Get 6 square pieces of paper.
2. Fold them all into quarters then draw 3 lines, each 2 cm apart. 
3. Cut in 5mm to the edge of the fold.
4. Open paper out.
5. Take the two inmost triangles and tape them together to form a circle.
6. Turn the paper over and do the same on the other side. 
7. Turn the paper over again and do the same thing again, and then turn it over and do it again.
8. Do this with all six pages.
9. Now take 3 swirls in each hand and staple them all together at the tip. 
10. Then staple each swirl's out most point to it's neighbour. 

The star is complete!
