Family Outing

Today we went on a family outing.  Some of the places that we went through were affected severely by the flooding in QLD (Toowoomba Region.)  Here are some photos from our fun.

 A photo I got of the two big boys, on a massive rock that had washed down stream.  Being boys they climbed on it.  How surprising??

French Braid Video

Here is a video on how to do a french braid.  One of my sisters was the model, and the other took the video.  Thank you Sis!! Enjoy!

Princess Hairdos

This is a hair style that I did on princess.  I got the idea of photographing the step by step instructions from Pretty Hair Is Fun To Do.  The lighting of the photos isn't that great I'm afraid.

French Braid Ponytail

Brush hair, moisten front lightly with water.

Part front section of hair from one ear to the other.  Tie the lower section back as then next few steps are using the front section.

Separate the small lower section and start french braiding across the front of the head.

Continue braiding across the top of the head around to the other ear.

Finish of the braid and tie the end with an elastic band.

 

Let out the lower, tied back section of the hair and rebrush to add a shiny look.  Retie the ponytail in the middle of the lower section (as shown below.)

Wrap the braid securely around the ponytail.

Pin in place with a couple of bobby pins, until the braid is firmly positioned.

The finished product.  Oh, and yes Princess is reading another book.

My Blog Button Dilemma

I got a blog button a couple of weeks ago.  However, though the picture would show, it wouldn't link to my blog.  I have resolved the problem, but to all my kind followers who have grabbed my button, could you please delete my blog button and then grab my new button please.  Sorry about this dilemma.

Jesus Culture

Almost two weeks ago, I went to a conference in Brisbane called Jesus Culture.  These are my notes of things that were special to me from two of the teaching sessions.  Enjoy.

Foundations

At Jesus Culture one of the speakers talked about how important the foundation is.  Our foundation in Christ is made in secret .  Without a foundation nothing can last.  Our foundation can seem strong on the outside but it is only what is looks like on the inside that matters.  Make sure that personal breakthrough can occur and that will lead to critical breakthrough.  Unless our own foundation is on the rock, Jesus, God can't use us to impact and create breakthrough in cities.

Special points to me

A few points that were special to me from Jesus Culture were- In life we must learn not to go along for the ride, we must lead the ride. Being a leader means responsibility, and leaders live with that responsibility.  The church has responsibility for the nation and as a church we live with that.  Unless we are right with God we can't lead people in and to God's ways.  As leaders we must live, awaiting for God to bring revival.

Three points were...

Opportunity - opportunities will arise and we must be prepared to lead not just observe.
Empower - We need to pray that God will empower us when opportunities arise.
Faith - We need faith when God empowers us to be able to make a difference.
