Day 4
My Favourite Recipe
Chocolate Slice
125g Butter (softened)
1/2 cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp Vanilla
1/2 cup Plain Flour
1/2 cup S.R. Flour
2 tbsp Cocoa
Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla and egg then beat. Add all flour and cocoa and mix well. Place mixture into a well lined slice tray and bake in a moderate oven for 20 minutes. When cool, ice with chocolate icing (recipe below.)
Chocolate Icing
1 1/2 cups Icing Sugar
1 tbsp Cocoa
2 tbsp Butter
Hot Water
Sift icing sugar and cocoa into a bowl. Add butter, then cream the mixture. Add water and mix well before adding more. Once you have a nice consistency, spread on the slice and place in the fridge to set. (This slice is also nice with hundreds and thousands sprinkled on top.) Cut into squares when the icing has completely set. ENJOY:)

Welcome to Winter!! And the start of my 30 day blog challenge, so here goes.

This one is really easy.
The Bible!!
Isn't it a wonderful book, so full of knowledge, and wisdom. I really don't know what I would do without it. I am fortunate and have two that I use.
My NCV Bible, that I was given from my parents ~ Christmas 2002. This one is great when teaching children with it's easy language.
My other Bible I received from Sunday School in 2006, it is a NIV and I use it as my study and reference bible. (Sorry about the pictues, both my Bibles are coverd in plastic to protect them, so it is hard to take a good picture.)
